Overview

What you should know

Discoloured, thickened nails, and the question of what is behind it.

Nail fungus is a slow fungal infection of the nails and usually starts in the toenails. Treatment takes patience: the nail has to grow out, and that takes months. Not every change to a nail is a fungus; psoriasis, injury or circulatory problems are possible too.

What happens

What happens at aprioris

Our aim: to resolve your concern directly on site. Assessment, treatment and, where needed, a prescription or certificate. If specialist care is needed, we refer you on.

We assess the findings and tell them apart from other causes of a change to the nail. Then we discuss what happens next and how long it takes. With diabetes, circulatory problems or unclear findings we refer you on with a report.

Every case is reviewed and signed off by a physician, either during your visit or shortly after. Anything that needs specialist care, we refer on, prioritised by urgency and with a written report. aprioris does not dispense medication itself.
