Overview

What you should know

Irritated, red eyes, and the question of when it belongs with an eye specialist.

A red eye has many causes. Conjunctivitis is common, brought on by viruses, bacteria or an allergy. What matters is telling those apart from causes that threaten your sight; those belong with an ophthalmologist immediately.

What happens

What happens at aprioris

Our aim: to resolve your concern directly on site. Assessment, treatment and, where needed, a prescription or certificate. If specialist care is needed, we refer you on.

We listen to your concern, examine the eye and put the findings in context. An eye injury, sudden loss of vision or severe eye pain belongs with an ophthalmologist immediately; those cases we refer without delay.

Every case is reviewed and signed off by a physician, either during your visit or shortly after. Anything that needs specialist care, we refer on, prioritised by urgency and with a written report. aprioris does not dispense medication itself.
